Woke up to early once again, and couldn’t fall back asleep at 3 am. It isn’t due to the cold, nor the discomfort of sleeping in the car.
When I was passing thought town of Aberdeen, I saw this amazing gas station. Been wanting to do a car shoot with something this similar while in Vancouver. Haven’t seen one that is so well kept maintained. This one is all build for a shoot.
There is a beautiful Lincoln Continental parked outside, a show car, with many trophy awards in the rear seats. My friend Ed would love this. He has been looking for the ultimate ride, the Lincoln Continental with suicide doors, like the one in Matrix.
I was running like a wild chicken looking for a place to wash my car. Car is filled with road kills bugs, and I would really love to shoot my ride as well in such a timeless station. It took a lot of effort finding a carwash in the middle of the night. For a few moments, I was tempted borrowing a water hose and water from anywhere.
Time flies when you are in the zone. Finally able to capture the shot just before morning. Hopefully the owner of the Gas Station will love the photos. Couldn’t get the exact address, will have to mail it to its neighbor next next door.
Started before the traffic, and had another amazing drive to Astonia. The scenery and road is amazing. Couldn’t ask for better way to start the day.
-took some videos, possibly will link it here one day
The Shell gas station and the roads to Astonia will be the highlight of the day. By the end of the night, met up another CS traveler in Portland, and we headed towards the 7 wonders of Oregon, Mt.Hood and the Columbia River gorge.
