Ambitious day, we were trying to make it to Da Nang, 280kms away. We are thinking, if everything goes smoothly, no rain, good roads, this goal can be accomplish. Started the day early with breakfast, we were on our way leaving Kon Tum by 11 am.
Along this mountainous area, weather comes and goes. Just less than an hour into our ride, rain was slowly getting to us. We were in the middle of no where, just minority villagers along the way.
As we were getting our rain gears on, we were invited to take shelter is a small wooden house with a metal roof.
The metal roof is loud as a drum under the hard pounding rain.
Pass time with sharing some of the photos of Fin and playing a slightly different version of big 2. Where the heart is bigger than spade
Once we see blue sky, we continue our way, after offering a small token of appreciation. We continued our way west, but finding it’s a dead end. Looks like a connecting road on the map, until zooming it in really closely, we have to turn back. We were wonderfully lost.
By the time next cloud came, we had to stop and find a hotel in the middle of no where, this town isn’t even on the map. It was already starting to get dark, and we still have an hour to go before the next town on the map.
We ended the day early, and hoping to find some fresh food, and we did.
Fresh banh xéo for 75 cents each and hot off the grill com suon
