Day 341: Disturbing Butterflies

We started the day by touring south of BMT. Getting lost and going off the map as we try heading towards the lake

The area just south of BMT has a lot of yellow butterflies. As the roaring bike pass by,  it’s disturbed their peace,  causing the butterflies to fly all around us in panic.  Its like a fairy tale, waves of butterflies floating in the air.

As we made it to the lake area, we found a huge elephant in the open field. There is an elephant sanctuary near by, possibly why this magnificent animal gets to roam freely

On our way back, we decided to complete a loop rather than going back the same roads we came. It started to get interesting as we are going through local villages.

Somehow, we didn’t see this river on the map. We had no idea how to cross until we saw this wooden boat use by locals. There is a rope that tides to both sides of the river, locals seems to just pull themselves across.

It was a good adventure going off the beaten path. Although on the way through this section, many locals tried to advise us to turn around and take the proper hwy, it’s felt good not knowing what’s ahead.
