Spend the morning trying to find more bike gears. Ending up taking over 6 hours. A lot of that time has to do with standing aside, dodging rain. Its crazy the heavy downpour you get in Asia. Easily soaking wet within 15 secs…
Funny thing is, the rain coat stalls suddenly just pops out at every corner of the streets. I have been in Saigon for almost 3 weeks, I have never noticed them around. Maybe this is the 1 time I have seen rain here, every drink stalls transform into rain coat seller during the rain fall. They sure showed up at the right time. Cause I wasn’t prepared for this, left the guesthouse when it was nice and sunny.
Finally found a place that sells some decent bike gear. Vietnamese here loves to wear sandles while riding, girls wearing short shorts, there is no demand for riding gear safety here. Maybe because traffic is so slow, there is really serious danger. I have gotten a few minor hits from bikes already. All without a scratch.
Well, I still prefer wearing some bike gears for the rest of the trip. This is the only place I found bike gear in Saigon.

$70 for a copied bike jacket. He ensure the materials are good enough for protection. As local wear these and go racing with.
With so much rain today and didn’t get back to the hostel till 6pm, guess trip isn’t starting until tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.
