As I woke up to the chanting of birds, it was barely dawn. It is only 6am, after a good 5 hours rest, I am eager to capture the sunrise towards Port Angeles
While driving and scouting for the magnificent scenery, found the good morning shot while getting lost off the highway roads
There were plenty of lakes, but the 3 piers casting such shadows is very unique. It is so good to be on the road, even doing it alone.
As it is too early finding restroom or fast food that opens, I went to check out the Olympic National Park in Port Angeles. There is a $15 fee for entry, during opening hours. As I got there by early 7ish, well ahead of opening hours, gate is wide open to traffic, I thought I might as well check it out.
Did started the trip with a gas conservative mindset, cars been averaging 10 liters per 100kms. Do I want to waste gas going up an mountain?? Especially I am the sole person covvering all gas fees.
The stretch of road is roughly 20kms towards the peak. Did thought of doing halfway, or return after a few minutes.
The begining up the mountain isnt that exceiting, plenty of straights roads. Until I saw this sign, the twisty breakfast beings!
15 Miles of Twisties, how unfortunate I am the sole car on the road. How unfortunate it is all 2nd and 3rd gear tight turns. It is certainly highlight of the day. The view is amazing, the air is refreshing, all along a crazy cliff.
Fin probably enjoyed the roller coaster ride up to the peak of the mountain.
By the time we leave Port Angeles, its been almost an hour of joy. That is the same distance driving to downtown from Richmond, and then back, and its all twisties!

The rest of the day isnt as exciting, but we did stubble into the small town of Fork. Although I am not a huge fan of Twilight, its cool have been there and discover that on the way, without planning.
To end the day, the were Whale spotting in the beach near by. Since we were there, might as well check it out.
Unfortunate there were no whales there today.
