Today is the eve of Chinese New Year. Everyone is celebrating with family and relatives. As much as I wish to be with them, it is overly crowded to travel during this period in Asia. Eventhough Cambodia has a minority Chinese population, I’ve been told by locals it’d best to avoid Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and the islands off Sihanoukville, as the hotels are fully booked. Not even going to try and imagine traveling in countries like Vietnam or china, where the entire country celebrates today.
Living on the beach is unusually relaxing. I haven’t done much today, yet time just flied by. Not sure why I haven’t had any beach vacation for all this time. It sure was great to soak up the sun while fruit lady cuts some amazing pineapple and mango for ya.
Took this shot with the new Eos-m camera. I’m really liking the portability of this thing. It’s amazing what it can do with a little creative flash. I’m actually surprised I processed a photo on the day of my blog.
As for the rest of the day? Read a lot about the history of the Indochina, process some photos, saw the amazing sunset, and took a swim in the ocean at 11pm.
It’s funny I have never swim so late before. The sea is pitch black, stars were lighting the night sky. For some bizarre reason, the disturbed water around us will glow. I can only reason the disturbed water is lid by the very faint light around us. Wish I can take a picture for this..
