I left Taipei and headed to Taichung, center Taiwan. Today has been extremely exhausting. Left Taipei around 4 pm, didn’t check in until 11pm. Caught the 5pm train to Taichung, suppose to arrive by 7:15 pm. But after dozing off, I panicked when I saw Taichung on the train display. Ending exited one station too early. Thinking back, the train display was showing NEXT stop is Taichung. Sigh…

From the train station, I Google how to get to the hostels. It showed bus 83, and a few others. When bus 83 showed up, without giving it much thought, I just hop on. While the bus is moving, the bus isn’t traveling along the blue line Google map suggest, it turns out this bus is heading the other direction of where I want to be going… Sigh sigh

I have saved 3 possible hostels to stayed in. The 1st one, Google map shows it at 1.3km from where it actually is.

You would think, let’s try the other 2. It turns out the other 2 are located in an abandoned building that is about to be demolish. What are the possibility of 3 hostels candidates, taking 3 hours to find. To make it more challenging, the Chaoma hostel has no sign anywhere. Nothing outside, nothing near the dark hallway, nothing to indicate there is hostel even after finding it. I am so glad I had a phone to call them. Blue dot is where the hostel actually is… Sigh sigh sigh…

Extremely exhausted, will be sleeping well tonight.
