Just moved closer to the People Square station, so that I can have ending amount of the best dumplings. For $1 or 2 per order, these are amazing that are hard to beat.
Since both places has a line, I started with the shortest so I can eat and queue for the 2nd dumplings place across the street.
These pan fried dumplings from Yang’s are amazing. The bottom is nicely pan fried for the right amount of crispness, while the top part is thin enough so that the soup stays in. I always prefer extremely thin bun with maximum meat inside. 4 for less than a dollar, or 6 Yuan.
Enjoying my pan fried dumplings while lining up.
Jia Jia across the street has the best steamed dumplings. The idea is similar to the pan fried ones, very thin wrapping with delicious meat and soup inside. This is one of the best stream dumplings in town for the money, much better than the famous one by the Garden that cost 3x as much. One of the key to their deliciousness is that it is made fresh to order, hence the long line out side all the time.
