Our Journey on the romantic road starts from Colmberg Castle where we stayed the night and enjoyed the sunrise.

Out of two dozens of towns along the romantic road, we picked three of the well known. We started with Würzburg to Rotenburg OBT, and finally arriving at Fussen, the town next to our next destination: Neuschwanstein Castle.

All three towns are very charming, well worth visiting. It gives you a sense Bavarian living, the beauty and style that comes with.

Colmberg Castle is located in a very small town, near Wurzburg. Driving through the gates and passing the small town before reaching the hill up the castle is like a fairytale. The castle is small compare to some of the hotel castles out there. It was still large enough that I was photographing and discovering the castle till 3am in the morning. Then woke up at 5am for the sunrise.
