Day 127: DC

Posted on September 7, 2012      by Erik

Been in Washington DC for the last 2 days, it feels I have miscalculated how much DC has to offer.

DC is the only city that I have been to that has the Paris charm. The Mall strip where all the Smithsonian Museums are located, as well as memorials and monuments, has the beauty and grandness similar to Paris. There isn’t a place I have been to that has so much open green area, with magnificent buildings as backdrop. It’s definitely a great city for photoshoot.

Another thing that I have miscalculated is the amount of quality museums there are, and they are all FREE. I think I can easily spend another week here.

Here are a few things that I found enlightening

Comment for Day 127: DC

Viki

I am glad I am not the only one who enjoys taking photos of manholes and random sections of floors and walls….. (when I suddenly stopped walking and pointed my camera towards my feet, I often got questioned… what the heck are you shooting?!? Oh, and the my-shoe-is-here shot! haha, not sure if that’s intended but that’s how I do my I-am-here shot all the time when I travel alone..hehe) I’ve got company! 😉

Thanks for sharing – I hope you do love and be true to yourself, because there’s no reason not to.
🙂
