It is with a dose of imagination and a sprinkle of fantasy which brought upon the creation of Neuschwanstein, Ludwig II's fairy tale castle. Without dreams and fantasies, we are but puppet dolls warped into the passage of time. Despite Ludwig retreated into his own fantasy world to shelter from the harsh realities of life, perhaps it is this faint bit of childishness that attracts so many people to the castle. It is the fantasies of Ludwig rather than the architecture of the castle which amaze me. Although the twists and turns of life always throws us back into reality, and a little bit of innocence...
Our Journey on the romantic road starts from Colmberg Castle where we stayed the night and enjoyed the sunrise.

Out of two dozens of towns along the romantic road, we picked three of the well known. We started with Würzburg to Rotenburg OBT, and finally arriving at Fussen, the town next to our next destination: Neuschwanstein Castle.
All three towns are very charming, well worth visiting. It gives you a sense Bavarian living, the beauty and style that comes with.

Was looking forward to picking up the BMW 1 series for the road trip. A 12 days trip through 3 Countries, 13 Cities, and driving on the world renowned unlimited speed limit autobahn. BMW has always been a driver's car, the 335i has been the next car to get on my list. So was pretty excited at the thought of spending 12 days behind the wheel of one.
Kinda disappointed when SixT told me they are upgrading me to a bigger car, an unheard of brand. A black comfy station wagon. Definitely more room and cargo space for 3 persons.
Surprisingly it handles pretty well. Not much body roll while exiting...
Finally made it to Nurburgring after 6 hours of commute. Cost over £70 just getting here. So it has been train from Frankfurt to Koblenz to Remagen to Ahrbruck, bus to Auburn, then finally taxi to Nurburgring. Next time, better of renting a car instead. Would have been 2 hours drive instead of 6 hours of getting lost in public transit.
Well, it's sure is worth getting here. Met 2 nice German fella, shared common photography interest, didn't speak much English. But cut through some red tape, and show me around the PIT LANE during the RACE! Priceless experience!
I seriously need to process...
Took the advise of a stranger, as he was heading to Nurburgring the day before the main event, 24 hours race. He said, take a train from Frankfurt to Koblenz, then bus to Nurburgring. He will SMS me if he runs into any problems
Well, i made it to Koblenz. Apparently, there are no buses to Nurburgring today. And this stranger is spending the day in Koblenz instead. It's 1pm already, and the race starts at 4pm. Since I'm already €51 out, 3/4 way to Nurbuiring, going to try getting there no matter what. It's a 24 hours race, losing a few hours commuting can't be that bad.
It will get really...
