During the last 5 days, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the homes of Moroccans. I've stayed with a family in Casablanca, Rabat and Fez. Ramadan is base on the lunar month, where Muslims devote themselves to the Islamic religion. For a period of 14 hours each day,  from 5 am to 7pm, they practice something call fasting. Where one does not eat, does not drink, does not smoke, and does not have sex. This will last for a period 30 days, long enough to recite the 30 prayers of Quran. Its well expected to be ask tourist price at places like Marrakech Medina Market. Generally it will be a few USD dollar at most for any help or any minor tourist activities. I saw this snake charmer playing with a cobra snake, and it would be a wonderful photo opportunity for FIN. I ask how much in the beginning, and they kindly said anything I want, avoiding putting a price tag on it. After a few not so inspiring photos, I offered them 20 Dirham (2 Euros), more than generous. They gave me back the money and said "for the 6 photos, you should really give 400 Dirhams, it really worth that...

We are now trying to adapt to the 40+ degree weather while being here Other than the heat, Marrakech has been very similar to Jordan. Except everyone seems to speak French. It's a great place to start speaking the Quebecois that I know very little off. I have decided to stay a bit longer in Morocco than M.C. I'll be visiting Casablanca, Rabat, and Fez before heading to Paris. Why Paris? Well who can say they did a round trip around Europe without visiting Paris?

All of a sudden, we are heading to Africa. We just bought flights and hotel for Marrakesh Morroco. It's the northern part of Africa, very close to Spain. It's close enough that can be reach by bus, ferry and train within 20 hours. Kinda exciting, not knowing what to expect there. We have research every single bit of details, and made assumption weather will be just a bit hotter than Spain due to its proximity. Except we found out it was 16 degrees hotter.... Will we survive the heat?

Madrid has been amazing. Found this really great place call the San Miguel Market in the city center. Been there 5 times out of the 3 days here. Been going back for tapas and drinks. Its cheap, tasty, fresh, and has that granville island market feel, but only better. Spanish famous iberian ham " Jamon ibercio bello“ cost as much as kobe beef, $100/lbs, it almost melt in your mouth. Best ham I ever had! Tapas and ham: This market is a must visit if you ever visit Madrid Spain.
