It's good to be back to the land of meat, potatoes and BEER! There are no bad beers in Germany, and looking forward to more affordable food than london. The stop in Cologne (Köln) is to visit a friend I met while in Sofia, and also its the closest metropolitan near Nurburgring. As I will be renting a car to get there, lesson learn last time from frankfurt, being only 80kms away is a good thing. While in Koln, I been reminded how honest the Germans are. Spending a week in london was very refreshing. As I have been there before, I was not occupied with visiting any attractions. Just chilled at the Hyde Park for a few Olympic games. Tried lining up at the Czech house for next day tickets. The only tourist attractions was visiting Stonehenge for the day. We were told not to expect much, other than a day of travel to see thousand years old stones standing. It is one of the old world wonders. Other than that, is just chilling with friends. Today has been a long day. Took the overnight bus from Paris, and arrived London at 6am. Was hoping to meet up my friend sometime in the morning after breakfast, so she won't have to wake up so early. Due to miscommunication, I wasn't able to meet her until 6 pm at night. I had to lug both backpacks around London. Tried checking in one of the backpack at the British National Museum, but it's too oversized. The nearest luggage check in station is about 20 mins walk, back to the Victoria station where I initially arrived. I was just too exhausted from lack of sleep to do that. Today is my last day in Paris. Although already been here 10 days, there are still so many reasons to stay longer. Throughout this trip, there isn't city that has kept me interested this consistently like Paris. WILL HAVE TO COME BACK TO PARIS! On my last day here, I tried checking out museums as today is free to all, the 1st Sundays of each month. But expect long lines I was planning to revisit a couple, and check out L'orangerie museum as they have Monet's waterlilies. But L'orangerie end up taking up the whole day. I have been in Paris for 9 days already. It is definitely one of the most interesting cities I've visited. It has kept me very busy, kinda neglected the blog and photos. Been busy with what? Well, there are too many museums and world renowned attractions. Been wiki learning and then head to the museums and sites. Been leaning about the impressionist art, the art movement by Monet, Manet, Renoir and others. Then head to the museums and see one of the largest collection of their works.
