Amsterdam is one those cities everyone should visit. It is a breath of fresh air after seeing so many european cities. Although it is a very touristy cities, it does have a good vibe and energy.
Been here 4 nights, and I could have stayed longer.
First things I learned after arrival. Getting on the local bus, €2.70 for an 1 hour pass, expensive but it became useless since I didn't know you have to check out when you get off the bus.
This is the best way getting around Amsterdam. My own kawi green bicycle. €22 for 3 days. Comes with 2 super locks.. Haha...I'm sure these get stolen...
I'm at the airport at the moment. Can't believe I have beeni traveling for 118 days already. It felt like yesterday I left home. Although there are many more places I like to see in Europe, many more friends I like to visit. I will need to get my ass back home before mid Sept for my buddies wedding.
For 4 months of travel, have a pretty good collection of stars!
As I'm on standby flight to the right continent, but the wrong side of the country. I'm looking forward arriving to the land of POUTINE, Montreal. From there, two weeks should be enough time finding a way home.
It's 4:30am, I have been tolerating an on going buzzing sound next to my ear for the last hour. Was hoping if it's an mosquito, LEAVE ME ALONE, you are probably well fed by now.
Couldn't tolerate no more, now the predators are being hunted!
It is an mosquito, and it's well fed indeed!
Apparently, he has friend in the room too!
End up staying up till 6am, sigh!
Today is another highlight of the entire trip. I planned this weekend around Nurburgring for one reason, because Bmw Ring taxi will be doing laps on Friday and Sunday this week.
Although I did not have a ticket for the ring taxi, I was hoping there might be cancellation or no show. Maybe just by being at Nurburgring, good things can happen.
I just had an hot lap around the Ring in the Ring Taxi for FREE! When the stock 2012 M5 is driven by a professional driver, it's one scary ride.
This is how it went. I went to the booth and asked if there are any cancellation today. No luck on Friday...
Picked up my rental car last night, a little hot hatch DS3. The sportiest rental car so far. Well equipped with Navi, very supportive bucket sport seats, nibble and quick. The perfect warm up car on the way to Nurburgring, through the twisty backroads.
All the warm up can never prepare you for the actual Nurburgring. It is renowned as one of the most difficult race course in the world. The difficult comes from the 20 miles of constant elevations changes, the blind twisty following a long high speed straights, the difficulty of learning the course, and a public course that any car can do a lap....
