Helped a stranger today... On the way back to the hostel,  I walled by this Chinese girl that is sitting on the street. Her friend, a german guy that she made yesterday, is trying to get her back home so she won't be sleeping on the street. As it it already very late, thought I'll try to help him out. After a few more conversations, he friends arrived and left her with me. He said he has helped her all he can, and he must go now. WTF? So ending up I'm responsible for her. It already pass 2 am already, I just can't let her sleep on the street. Managed to get her talking, and find where I can sent...

Just moved closer to the People Square station, so that I can have ending amount of the best dumplings. For $1 or 2 per order, these are amazing that are hard to beat. Since both places has a line, I started with the shortest so I can eat and queue for the 2nd dumplings place across the street. These pan fried dumplings from Yang's are amazing. The bottom is nicely pan fried for the right amount of crispness, while the top part is thin enough so that the soup stays in. I always prefer extremely thin bun with maximum meat inside. 4 for less than a dollar,  or 6 Yuan. Enjoying...

While waiting for my clothes to dry, just want to share something that I picked up that is becoming extremely useful: go anywhere clothing line. This little thing packs into a tiny pouch, and gives a line of 8-9 feet long. The amazing thing it's it simplicity. As long as you can wrap the line around a pole, tree branch, anything wrap able , the self inter locking clips will do the rest. the little rings will tighten the 2 lines so the clothes wont fall off so easily: picked it up at a camping store, so useful for a few bucks.

The past week has been overwhelmed with technical troubleshooting. The great firewall of China filters out pretty much all the western social media sites, such as Facebook, YouTube, and some news media sites. Everything is being monitored by the big brothers. VPN is one of the ways around the firewall. It is definitely isn't plug and play easy. Connection has been sporadic, adding to the challenge, big brother has been closing on most of the Vpn servers. So the same server was working yesterday, but completely fails today and there after. Adding to the challenge, can't look up troubleshooting...

Went lining up at Yang's dumpling today. General rule when traveling, if locals are lining up, food will always be delicious! It was around 5 pm in late afternoon, so looking forward to some light snack. Was trying to order 4 dumplings, but end up with these.. Actually got 2 plates of these. Ate the 1st plate, it was eat 1st maybe pictures later.. Got 12 dumplings instead of 4. Guess my Mandarin is horrible. It turned out to be an awesome mistake. Less that $3 for 12 dumplings, and it's made to order, and it's really really delicious!
