It’s 2:40am. I just done the required research to see if it makes more sense to head towards the east of Bangkok instead. Towards Cambodia, and then Vietnam.
The last few days in Bangkok has been relaxing and keeping my options open. Although I want to sign up for the Muay Thai training. The school I like to attend is in Phuket, south of Thailand, neighboring Malaysia. It seems to make more sense to head there when I’m ready for further south, like Malaysia and Singapore.
The idea of heading to Cambodia ignited after meeting a few new friends in the hostel, and after reading the lonely Planet book. The new irish friends are planning on leaving for Cambodia later on today, catching a 6am train to the border city between Thailand and Cambodia.
The only thing I had to figure out is that I can get a VISA for entering Vietnam after. As I have read Vietnam visa can be obtain while in Bangkok.
So it looks like everything will work out. Love traveling spontaneous, without schedule!
Travel tip:
Seat61.com is probably one of the most useful site when traveling by land. It inspire traveling long distances by other means than flight. It has great info that Google map can’t even navigate yet.
