Had a stop over at Bucharest Romania, before heading to Sofia Bulgaria on nights train. Bought a few things, hoping it will be cheaper as it is in the eastern Europe. With the expectation that the avg income is around €300, rent cost is €125, beer is only €1, so clothing and necessity should be relative to income, meaning CHEAP.
As traveling w/ lots of dead weight, I have lot some weight as well. All the pants and shorts are too loose, probably lost 2 inchs around the waist. So did some quick shopping in the mall as I was trying to avoid the heat as well. It’s been 36 celcius here. But things are not cheap here. All the name brands that we know, H&M, Zara, cost even more here than back at home. 24 euros for a pair of short, how do people afford it ?
While in Burcharest, I was told by many local to eat here, Caru’ cu Bere
Romanian tradition ciorba (kinda like soup):
Mancarea lui Bucur ( Squash stuffed w/ meat):
Was fortunate enough to be invited to have a couples of meals in a Romanian’s home. Always love home cook meals than eating out. Its the same dishes as I tried in Caru’ cu Bere, but it was definitely tastier!
