BMW Welt is a must see! We managed to get on the waiting list for the factory tour. Sure glad we did. It is one of those tours that will WOW you.
The 3 series are being build at the factory. You will get the see from the beginning of sheet metal being pressed for the body, 92% robotic automation for welds and assembly, the 6 coat painting process, human assembly line, and final testing and delivery. The factory tour shows how well run and smooth for such a sophisticated process. Kinda wish all companies runs that way, in such order and symphony. Together with the BMW museum, factory tour, and Welt, we spend over 6 hours at BMW. It still wasnt enough.
In Munich, there are 2 beer halls that are a must visit!
Hofbrauhaus @ Platzl 8, Munich, across from Hard Rock Cafe. They have live music playing, while servers bringing out as many 1 litre mugs of beer with one hand. Yes, German size beer are 1 Litres. This beer hall serves authentic Bavarian food. It is one of those top attraction in Munich, according to tripadvisor.
Order the Pork Knuckle w/ potato, it is one of the best i’ve had. The skin is cooked to perfect crispiness, while the meat is juicy and tender. Its way better than the ones I’ve had at Leavenworth, Washington.
Another great place to eat Bavarian food is at Augustiner Bräu. It doesn’t have the great beer hall atmosphere as Hofbrauhaus, but i do find the food is even better. Especially the Pork Knuckle, skin is even crispier.
Been doing food comparison back to back. Having too much pork, sausages, and potatoes. Need a veggie diet for the next few days 🙂
