Day 18: Road Trip

Was looking forward to picking up the BMW 1 series for the road trip. A 12 days trip through 3 Countries, 13 Cities, and driving on the world renowned unlimited speed limit autobahn. BMW has always been a driver’s car, the 335i has been the next car to get on my list. So was pretty excited at the thought of spending 12 days behind the wheel of one.

Kinda disappointed when SixT told me they are upgrading me to a bigger car, an unheard of brand. A black comfy station wagon. Definitely more room and cargo space for 3 persons.

Surprisingly it handles pretty well. Not much body roll while exiting off ramps, very stable while traveling on the slow lane. This is how slow we traveled on the slow lane:

Fast lane is for much faster commuters. At times, we are being passed as if we were standstill. BMW tends to be the kings of the fast lane.

This is the most welcoming sign on the Autobahn, the no speed limit sign:
