Was invited to do a fashion show behind the scene just before the weekend. Just thought I'll share some of the challenges of the day trying to capture the moment. 1) Exposure: The light is not consistence in the guest seating area, and in the back stage (area behind the JNG logo. The most challenging part is during the catwalk, the main light is the windows by the end of the runway. As seen in the photos, the room gradually gets darker towards the JNG logo. There is almost 1.5 stop of difference, from silver reflective surface by the JNG sign, to the end of the runway where the 6:30pm daylight...

Woke up to early once again, and couldn't fall back asleep at 3 am. It isn't due to the cold, nor the discomfort of sleeping in the car. When I was passing thought town of Aberdeen, I saw this amazing gas station. Been wanting to do a car shoot with something this similar while in Vancouver. Haven't seen one that is so well kept maintained. This one is all build for a shoot. There is a beautiful Lincoln Continental parked outside, a show car, with many trophy awards in the rear seats. As I woke up to the chanting of birds, it was barely dawn. It is only 6am, after a good 5 hours rest, I am eager to capture the sunrise towards Port Angeles While driving and scouting for the magnificent scenery, found the good morning shot while getting lost off the highway roads There were plenty of lakes, but the 3 piers casting such shadows is very unique. It is so good to be on the road, even doing it alone. As it is too early finding restroom or fast food that opens, I went to check out the Olympic National Park in Port Angeles. Its been a tough night. Sleeping in the car wasn't as comfortable as one would hope. Fell asleep around 2 am, then woke up at 430, after a couple hours of sleep. My nose felt really cold, eventhough my body feels warm. Ran the car for a few minutes until the car's interior warms up. Its 4 only degrees outside. Its much too cold to be camping in the north western USA. Glad having a car. By 630 am, I woke up to the sunrise with cold, and couldn't fall asleep anymore.
